The Walking Dead Video Game FPS Announced for Xbox 360, PS3 & PC




Activision has announced The Walking Dead Video Game is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2013.

Note: This TV show-based FPS game is not to be confused with the download-only episodic The Walking Dead adventure game by Telltale Games that’s based on the comic books.

The new Walking Dead video game takes the undead and brings them out of the AMC Emmy award-winning TV show and into console gaming systems in a new, terrifying way. Terminal Reality’s first-person shooter action game will allow players to assume the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon on an unforgiving quest to the supposed safety of Atlanta.

The iconic walkers will relentlessly hunt down players like their television counterparts using a combination of sight, sound, and smell. As Daryl, players will need to tread carefully throughout each new area they explore. Once discovered, it doesn’t take much to attract an unstoppable horde of undead walkers, so every threat needs to be assessed, and every situation analyzed. No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside, alongside his overbearing brother Merle, in this new, post-apocalyptic world.

But it’s not all first-person shooter action. Apparently supplies will be scarce to bring in an element of food & ammunition management. Daryl will encounter a slew of other characters along the way that can help or hurt him, and it’ll be your choice whether or not Daryl will team up with them.

Cierto, llevaba tiempo queriendo preguntarte que si lo movía porque como no entro mucho por aquí no sabía si estaba bien tal cual o tenía que añadirle más cosas.

De todas maneras no hay mucha información más sobre el juego, de vez en cuando busco y parece que de momento se ha quedado la cosa ahí.
Supongo que como todavía le quedan unos cuantos capítulos al otro juego esperarán para sacarlo cuando se haya pasando el tirón y así recuperar un poco la atención de la gente.
Con un poco de suerte eso hará que no sea tan shooter genérico y se lo curren un poco.

En cualquier caso, seguro que merece la pena jugarlo, porque de matar zombies irá seguro

No vi el tema y cree uno... Si es que hay tanto tema de walking dead que te pierdes xD En fin con ese "The Walking Dead Videogame" espero que sea de supervivencia como trata la serie, donde las armas y la comida escaseen y tengamos que ir con cuidado para no atraer la atencion, y no de un juego donde se tenga que matar a 73845643929436347 zombies en una sola pantalla y encima vayas sobrao de equipo x)

Apuesto mas por lo segundo, ya no existen los juegos de supervivencia T_T

A mí personalmente, que sea FPS (osea sin verse el personaje) no me mola, que esté basado en la serie y no en el cómic, tampoco me mola mucho, y si encima es precuela de la serie con Daryl y su hermano, menos me gusta aún.

Ya ves solo tienes que ver que va con la escopeta... En fin creo que aun no han hecho nada oficial sobre que sea en primera persona asi que habra que esperar xD A tampoco me gusta en primera

Los que esperan que sea tipo survival se pueden ir olvidando. Va a ser un FPS de acción (y sí, ya está confirmado que es un FPS), y viendo que lo hace Activision, van a hacer lo mismo que en la nueva versión de GoldenEye: Usar el motor de Call of Duty.

Personalmente yo no creo que esto sea malo. Ya me acostumbré a que el terror se fue y solo queda acción, y como dice Ele, matar zombis nunca viene mal. A ver qué sale de esto.

Tiene una pinta bastante "meh". No se ve malo pero creo que va a pasar bastante desapercibido, incluso ahora que de lo que todos se acuerdan es del juego de Telltale Games.

Por cierto, los zombis parecen de plástico.
